Chateau de Pitray

Cycling at Chateau de Pitray during the Wine Harvest !
September 14th to September 20th - 2010.
Try to imagine living and dining in a chateau because this is what you will be doing for a week. 2 of the dinners and 2 of the lunches will be at the Chateau de Pitray. In order to eliminate any confusion the following is a list of the specifics and what they include.
The breakfasts will include: coffee, tea, orange juice, yogurts, cereals, eggs, cold cuts (meats), assortment of breads and croissants. If there are any special requests they can be discussed once the vacation has been purchased; every effort will be made to fulfill them. The lunches will be buffet lunches prepared by a chef. The specific menus have not been finalized but you can be sure that they will be tasty, plentiful, and designed to meet the caloric needs of long distance cyclists.
The meals hosted at the Chateau will also be prepared by a chef and will include wine from the Chateau. Everyone will sit together at the dinning room table, or we will dine outside if the weather is beautiful, which is usually the case in the summer. Prior to the dinners there will be cocktails served on the terrace with the setting sun. The menus have yet to be determined, but again nothing will be spared.

Lunch at Chateau Pitray
The other dinners and lunches will be enjoyed at restaurants in the towns near by, principally at St. Emilion which is host to dozens of restaurants catering to tourists worldwide who com to visit the region for its heritatge. In this way you can dine privately with whomever you chose. We will give you recommendations for different restaurants. Collectively, as a group, we will go to St. Emilion (e.g.) and fan out to our restaurants of choice. We will rendezvous at a predetermined time to return to the chateau. You will be responsible for the costs of these meals.
